I had the incredible opportunity to be a part of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, a prestigious national-level event organized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with NYKS and NSS. It brought together young minds from across the country to engage in meaningful discussions on nation-building and policy-making.

The selection process was rigorous and began with a screening round, where I had to submit a one-minute video showcasing my public speaking skills and vision for a developed India. After being shortlisted, I participated in the District Level Competition, and then advanced to the State Level Round.

Out of nearly 200 participants from across West Bengal, I was humbled and honored to be selected as one of the top three students to represent the state at the National Level.

The grand event was held at the very heart of our parliament, the Parliament Library, making it a truly surreal experience. The jury for the final round included several distinguished Members of Parliament, including Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports himself.

As part of the program, we also had an inspiring masterclass on public speaking conducted by Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi ji, which was both insightful and empowering.

One of the most unforgettable moments was the chance to witness the live parliamentary proceedings of the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Rajya Sabha, an experience that deepened my understanding of the legislative process and parliamentary decorum.

To top it all off, we were invited to a gala dinner at the Banquet Hall of the Parliament House, where we interacted with several dignitaries and senior officials, which was a perfect conclusion to a truly extraordinary experience.

This entire journey has not only strengthened my confidence but also reinforced my commitment to contribute meaningfully to our country’s development.
