The Drama Club is a platform for artistic exploration, expression and collaboration for students where they can display their creativity through various medium of theatre, short films, plays, impromptu skits, monologues, and entertainment videos (digital media). It is a creative hub where students learn, experiment, and innovate while entertaining and engaging the audience. It plays a pivotal role in finding out the inborn artistic talents among students and nurturing them to their fullness. Theatre workshops are conducted to explore the different forms of performing arts and eminent theatre personalities are invited to give lectures on the new trends in theatre. To complement to this, the College also offers an Ad-on Course on Audio Theatre in collaboration with TOT (Times of Theatre) School of Drama where students are trained on acting, script writing, handling of microphones, recording and social media.   

Objectives:

• It aims to empower students to express themselves through various medium of theatre and drama and shaping the future of entertainment with impactful narratives and experiences.
• It gives students an outlet for interest that go beyond acting skills. Here they can be involved with many other facets of theatre which includes choreography, poetry, blocking, playwriting, prop selection, background music, building sets, designing costumes and makeup.
• It aims to cultivate creativity, storytelling, and technical skills among students.
• It helps to build social and leadership skills, self-esteem, stage presence, confidence, communication skills and comprehend the significance of working together as a team and learn positive work ethics.
• Drama Club offers the chance for the students to pursue a career in theatre.
