LIFT & RAMPS

For a disabled-friendly, barrier free environment, the College has ramps and lifts for the students with physical disabilities.

  • The Main Building of the College as well as the New Science Building has lifts for vertical movement. The newly constructed Roma Chaudhuri Building also has provision for lifts. Lifts may also be used for evacuation purposes during times of emergency.
  • The Main Building as well as the Roma Chaudhuri Building has Ramps to provide access between vertical levels. Ramps provide an alternative to stairs for students or teachers with mobility issues and Wheel Chairs.
  • The College also has Wheel Chairs which provide the physically disabled students the freedom to move around to access day to day classes and other physical activities.
  • For students with unusually low stature, the Department of Geography has architecturally designed some high wooden platforms to ensure a non-discriminatory, equitable system for the disabled students during the Practical classes.
